Full description

This three bedroom detached bungalow is situated in the desirable village of Felpham which has an excellent variety of shops, restaurants and public houses.

The accommodation itself is well presented throughout, measures 1,055 sqft and includes an ‘L’ shaped sitting/dining room with focal point fireplace and a gently curved, almost floor to ceiling window which lets in an abundance of light and has a view across the green. This feature is replicated in the principal bedroom. The dining room links onto the kitchen and has the potential to be knocked through to create an open plan kitchen/dining area. The kitchen is fitted with a range of modern units and has space for a number of white appliances. The conservatory is just off the dining room and overlooks the rear garden. Along the hall there are three bedrooms and a family bathroom which has both a bath tub and a walk-in shower.

Outside, to the front, a driveway provides off-road parking and leads to the garage. The property is set back behind a lawned area dotted with small trees and shrubs. To the rear, the gardens are mostly laid to lawn with attractive bordering plants, a patio area and a greenhouse.

Situation

Felpham offers a range of local facilities including schools, a doctors surgery, a pharmacy, sports centre and swimming pool, golf club and a range of useful shops. There are also sailing facilities at Felpham sailing club. Historic Arundel and the Cathedral City of Chichester can all be found within approximately an eleven mile radius.

Why live in Middleton-on-Sea?

The development of modern Middleton began after World War I, when Captain H Rowlands S Coldicott purchased great swathes of farmland with a plan to create both a residential estate and a village community.

This led to the development of the private Sea Lane Estate, which is still a sought-after residential area today thanks to its proximity to the sea and local shops. There are also many pretty thatched properties in the area along with small retirement apartments, bungalows and large family homes that enjoy direct access to the sea while, in neighbouring Felpham, we have the glorious private Summerley Estate.

Middleton-on-Sea is within easy reach of Chichester and Bognor Regis and is a perfect setting for family life. We have two local schools, including the Bishop Tufnell Primary School and the Felpham Community College for secondary students, along with a day nursery for pre-school children. We also have a good range of shops for such a small village, including coffee shops, a Post Office, a family butcher, a general store, newsagent, fish and chip shops, gift shops, a florist and some friendly pubs.

At low tide, Middleton-on-Sea’s sandy beach stretches from Littlehampton to Bognor Regis and is a favourite for local dog walkers and those who enjoy the fresh air and tranquillity of the sea.  Elmer Sands, a mile east of Middleton, is a particular beauty spot, enhanced by the interesting rock islands that were built as a sea defence two decades ago and which have left rock pools and safe areas for swimming and beginner water sports. Over in Felpham you’ll find beachfront cafés, the Arun Leisure Centre, which has a swimming pool and a well equipped gym, and public tennis courts next to the Promenade.
