Community means so much more to us than having lots of local knowledge and being immersed in our housing market. It means doing what we can for our charities, schools and our people and getting involved to make life better for as many in our community as possible.
Henry Adams is a familiar face at lots of local events – whether we’re sponsoring school projects, fundraising or supporting a variety of charities that are local to the offices in your area, we’re always ready to play our part and make a difference.
We’re always hugely involved in promoting the arts too. Our head office is based in Chichester, home of the renowned Festival Theatre, which we’ve supported for over 20 years to do our bit for performing arts outside London.
That’s what community means to us.
From the day Henry Adams opened our doors in 1990, we’ve supported some great local charities and community projects. Since 2016, The Aldingbourne Trust has been our nominated charity and we’ll continue to support this amazing organisation for the next two years as it strives to help adults with learning difficulties to live independent lives.
Our first job is to help the Trust raise £3.78m to build a new visitors’ centre where staff can train and employ more people with learning disabilities to provide a sustainable future. The new centre is a hugely worthwhile project with a long-term legacy and Henry Adams will be pulling out all the stops to help the Trust achieve its goal.
Our fundraising events have already included sponsored walks and a golf day at Cowdray Park Golf club and many more are planned for the coming months. Last year, 60,000 visitors from the community joined us to help raise much-needed funds and had a fantastic time doing just that.
