Selsey Estate Agents & Letting Agents

Our Selsey office is located on the High Street and looks after residential sales and lettings in the local area. For a small town Selsey punches above its weight when it comes to the variety of homes on offer. In fact the architectural style depends very much on where you are in the town. The north-eastern quarter has an even spread of 1970s houses and bungalows and period properties. The north-west has a greater concentration of 70s properties with larger semi-rural homes around them. The old town (in the south east quarter) is known for its charming historic properties, including 17th century thatched houses, while down by the seafront you’ll find many large and secluded homes offering stunning views of the water. Whatever size or style of home you want to buy or sell, the Selsey team will take great pleasure in providing you with the ‘simply different’ service that Henry Adams is famous for.

Why live in Selsey?

“It may be classed as a town but Selsey is still a seaside village at heart. So whether you are looking for your dream home by the beach, a place to indulge your passion for water sports or a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of life, Selsey has it covered.

You’ll find a great selection of shops, pubs and restaurants right here on the High Street along with a strong sense of community, especially at Christmas when the Selsey Lights are a sight to behold. We have two local primary schools (Medmerry Primary and the Seal Primary Academy) and one senior school (The Academy Selsey) in the town itself, and more options available in Chichester, including the Chichester High School for Girls and the Chichester High School for Boys.

Selsey has a long-standing love of sport and is proud to be home to both Selsey Cricket Club (founded 1834) and the Selsey Football and Social Club (founded 1903). But you’ll find even more sporting activity down by the water. If you like scuba diving or snorkelling we have some of the best water for diving in the UK, with more than 100 wrecks to explore just off the coast. If you haven’t tried diving yet but want to learn, the Mulberry Divers Centre on East Beach offers tuition to everyone from complete beginners through to advanced divers. You could also go swimming, sailing or windsurfing in the sea around Selsey Bill headland, take a bike ride along the coastal cycle path or head up to one of the stunning beaches at Bracklesham Bay, East Wittering or West Wittering to feel the sand crunching between your toes.

There are many big events in the Selsey community calendar to look forward to, including the annual Selsey Festival (which runs throughout August and culminates in the Selsea Carnival) and later in the year the magnificent Selsey Fireworks display which combines pyrotechnics with a fun fair and live music event.

While Selsey offers the best of seaside living, it’s also less than 10 miles from the cultural heartland of Chichester and everything that the famous cathedral city has to offer, from the plentiful shops to the Festival Theatre. If you don’t fancy the drive the Stagecoach Gold Route 51 runs a regular service to and from Chichester, with buses leaving as frequently as every ten minutes, depending on the time of day.”

Testimonial: Could not do any more to make the move and buying the house so easy. Nothing was too much trouble and any advice given. Well done to everyone at Selsey. - Mr & Mrs Davies
