Full description

Situated in a popular and well-established residential area of Felpham, this attractive three-bedroom detached bungalow offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy relaxed coastal living, with the beach, and local amenities all within walking distance and the added advantage of no onward chain.

The property is tastefully decorated in light, neutral tones throughout, creating a fresh and spacious feel. To the front of the home are bedrooms one and two, both featuring bay windows that allow in plenty of natural light. Bedroom one also benefits from built-in storage. Bedroom three overlooks the rear garden and is positioned close to the modern family bathroom, which includes both a bath and a separate shower and plumbing for a washing machine in the built in cupboard.

At the heart of the home is a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area. The kitchen is fitted with a stylish range of pale grey shaker-style units, along with integrated appliances including an eye-level oven and hob, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. This sociable space opens into a bright sitting area with doors leading directly out to the rear garden.

Externally, the bungalow enjoys a generous frontage, with a lawned front garden bordered by well-established plants and shrubs, creating a welcoming first impression. A driveway provides ample off-road parking and leads to a detached garage.

To the rear, the south-facing garden is fairly low maintenance and is mainly laid to lawn, with a patio area ideal for outdoor dining and mature borders adding colour and interest.

Situation

The pretty village of Felpham offers a wide range of local facilities including schools, a doctors surgery, pharmacy, sports centre with swimming pool, golf club and a range of other useful shops. Historic Arundel, the Cathedral City of Chichester and the famous Goodwood motor circuit and racecourse can all be found within approximately an eleven mile radius.

Why live in Middleton-on-Sea?

The development of modern Middleton began after World War I, when Captain H Rowlands S Coldicott purchased great swathes of farmland with a plan to create both a residential estate and a village community.

This led to the development of the private Sea Lane Estate, which is still a sought-after residential area today thanks to its proximity to the sea and local shops. There are also many pretty thatched properties in the area along with small retirement apartments, bungalows and large family homes that enjoy direct access to the sea while, in neighbouring Felpham, we have the glorious private Summerley Estate.

Middleton-on-Sea is within easy reach of Chichester and Bognor Regis and is a perfect setting for family life. We have two local schools, including the Bishop Tufnell Primary School and the Felpham Community College for secondary students, along with a day nursery for pre-school children. We also have a good range of shops for such a small village, including coffee shops, a Post Office, a family butcher, a general store, newsagent, fish and chip shops, gift shops, a florist and some friendly pubs.

At low tide, Middleton-on-Sea’s sandy beach stretches from Littlehampton to Bognor Regis and is a favourite for local dog walkers and those who enjoy the fresh air and tranquillity of the sea.  Elmer Sands, a mile east of Middleton, is a particular beauty spot, enhanced by the interesting rock islands that were built as a sea defence two decades ago and which have left rock pools and safe areas for swimming and beginner water sports. Over in Felpham you’ll find beachfront cafés, the Arun Leisure Centre, which has a swimming pool and a well equipped gym, and public tennis courts next to the Promenade.
