Situated on the private Elmer Beach Estate, Pirate Haven is a unique and interesting property with unobstructed sea views to the east. This one-of-a-kind family home offers an unrivalled blend of coastal charm, character and modern elegance. With its prime location, you'll enjoy the convenience of quick access to the beach and the ultimate seaside retreat.

Once inside, a generous vestibule links to an inner hall and the other ground floor rooms which include five ground floor bedrooms, a family bathroom, an additional bathroom and a utility area. Depending on your requirements you could use bedroom two as a snug/office.

From the hall stairs rise to the first floor where the open-concept living spaces will each be found. The kitchen is appointed in a range of cream shaker style units with space for a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, range style oven and hob. The dining room is perfectly placed to make the most of the delightful views out to sea and opens out to a balcony with privacy screen and spiral staircase. A first floor WC completes the internal accommodation.

Outside, a generous garden which is mostly laid to lawn is situated on the beach side of the property and is ideal for children or for those that love to potter in the garden. There is ample off road parking and double gates through which there is access down to the foreshore beyond.

Why live in Middleton-on-Sea?

The development of modern Middleton began after World War I, when Captain H Rowlands S Coldicott purchased great swathes of farmland with a plan to create both a residential estate and a village community.

This led to the development of the private Sea Lane Estate, which is still a sought-after residential area today thanks to its proximity to the sea and local shops. There are also many pretty thatched properties in the area along with small retirement apartments, bungalows and large family homes that enjoy direct access to the sea while, in neighbouring Felpham, we have the glorious private Summerley Estate.

Middleton-on-Sea is within easy reach of Chichester and Bognor Regis and is a perfect setting for family life. We have two local schools, including the Bishop Tufnell Primary School and the Felpham Community College for secondary students, along with a day nursery for pre-school children. We also have a good range of shops for such a small village, including coffee shops, a Post Office, a family butcher, a general store, newsagent, fish and chip shops, gift shops, a florist and some friendly pubs.

At low tide, Middleton-on-Sea’s sandy beach stretches from Littlehampton to Bognor Regis and is a favourite for local dog walkers and those who enjoy the fresh air and tranquillity of the sea.  Elmer Sands, a mile east of Middleton, is a particular beauty spot, enhanced by the interesting rock islands that were built as a sea defence two decades ago and which have left rock pools and safe areas for swimming and beginner water sports. Over in Felpham you’ll find beachfront cafés, the Arun Leisure Centre, which has a swimming pool and a well equipped gym, and public tennis courts next to the Promenade.
