Dream home designs from Rose Green children

When we recently challenged the Year 1 children at Rose Green Infant School to create their very own dream home in a shoe box, we had no idea just how ingenious they would be.

The ‘rooms’ had to be furnished using only recycled materials so some had designed their own wallpaper using a computer program, others introduced ceiling lights made out of cotton reels and one design even included a roof garden with pipe cleaner people on deckchairs and enjoying the jacuzzi - now that’s definitely a dream home!

Mark Peacock from Henry Adams in Bognor & Aldwick, said, “The children at Rose Green Infant School are always amazing. Families came along to the special assembly when we announced the winners so it was great for us to be there to help celebrate some real design talent.”

As a reward for rising to our challenge, Mark then presented trophies and badges for the winners plus certificates for all the 90 children taking part.
