Andrew Thomas joining Rural and Valuation team

Henry Adams LLP is delighted to announce that Andrew Thomas is joining our Rural and Valuation team, based at our Chichester head office.

Andrew was previously a partner at Strutt & Parker where he led their Land Management Departments in West Sussex and Surrey for 12 years.

He is already known to many farmers on the South Coast, having opened an office in Chichester in 2008 which he then relocated to Guildford in 2015.

Andrew’s career started by working on family Hebridean fishing vessels in the Atlantic before he graduated from Harper Adams Agricultural College. During the 2001 Foot and Mouth crisis, he was on the front line, managing farms and estates in the Lake District. He now lives in Easebourne near Midhurst with his wife and two sons, and is a competitive cyclist.

Andrew will strengthen the existing Rural Department that Simon Lush has led at Henry Adams LLP for over 30 years. Ironically, Simon and Andrew have regularly acted for opposing parties and are well known to each other.

“We are very pleased that Andrew is joining us and I feel sure that his hard working and determined attitude will be a real support and benefit to both the team and our clients,” said Simon.

The rural business environment is about to embark on significant changes, with imminent implications for subsidies, environmental schemes, tenancy succession, carbon, and trade.

Henry Adams is currently expanding the capacity and range of rural services in order to support both new and existing clients in this ever-changing  environment.

Andrew Thomas will play an integral part in this and will also be working closely with Henry Adams’s well-established Planning and Development departments which advise landowners across the South East.

Andrew can be reached at andrew.thomas@henryadams.co.uk or on 01243 533655.
