Henry Adams School Projects: Class of 2015 / 2016 - Spring Term

Now that the class of 2015 / 2016 is over and we are well into the next academic year, we recap on the many exciting undertakings we’ve been involved in from the Autumn through to the Summer Term.

Below are the projects from Spring term only, but you can read the rest by following these links:

School Projects Summer Term

A New Home for Mr. Adams

The children at Midhurst CE Primary School were challenged to draw a new home for Mr. Adams and the results were fabulous! Partners and staff at Henry Adams in Midhurst were delighted to welcome the children to their office as they brought their competition entries to show them. The winning children were presented with a Mr. Adams Bear, while seven runners-up each received a Henry Adams rosette.

World Book Day 2016

Our teams at Haslemere, Petersfield and Emsworth were delighted to sponsor a variety of events and competitions during Book Week 2016. Using any materials they wished the children at Camelsdale Primary School were challenged to design and make a bookmark inspired by their favourite book or author. Whilst over at St James’ CE Primary and Emsworth Primary, children looked fantastic dressed as an exciting array of book characters. Matthew Inker, manager at Henry Adams, and Dee Tickner, community liaison coordinator, dressed for the occasion and joined in the celebrations, judging competitions and awarding books and badges as prizes to two children in each class.

Grand Designs

Year 1 children at Rose Green Infant School proved yet again that they have very ‘Grand Designs’. Gail Chisham, partner, and Dee Tickner, encouraged the children to think carefully about a dream room to create in a shoe box. The choice of room and design was left entirely in the children’s hands, and using only reclaimed materials, they decorated and furnished it. Henry Adams awarded nine star trophies to the children who displayed exceptional effort and creative flair.

Eggstraordinary Eggs!

Hattie Coates, partner from our Storrington office, and Dee Tickner invited all the children from Storrington First School to decorate an Easter Egg. Children set to work with pens, paint, stickers and glitter to embellish a plain egg with a wonderful array of colours, textures and designs. With the added incentive of chocolate prizes, many children entered the competition and eagerly awaited news of the winning designs.

Haslemere’s the Place to Live

Children at Bartholomew’s Primary School used their brilliant minds to produce a leaflet about Haslemere, aimed at informing other children moving to the area of all the good things there are to do. There were so many fantastic entries packed with exciting pastimes for children, including the winning entry which can now be found online and states “From trampolining to pottery painting, there’s always something for you!”

New Football Kit for Emsworth

Up and coming football hero’s at Emsworth Primary School were delighted to receive bright new football kits, helping them to achieve a more professional demeanour whilst strutting their stuff on the pitch. As sponsors of the kit, we’re told the season ended well last year.
