Connecting with the Capital through The London Office

Henry Adams has partnered with The London Office to bring the attractions of West Sussex homes to buyers thinking of leaving the capital for the country.

Direct access to the London market

“London is one of the most dynamic property markets in the world,” said Gareth Overton, head of residential sales at Henry Adams. “In doing everything we can to seek out buyers for our clients’ homes, our links with The London Office have proved invaluable.

“As more and more people have chosen to move out of London in recent years, many have chosen West Sussex, Surrey or Hampshire as their destination. This area has that perfect combination of countryside, coast, great market towns and pretty villages, all within an hour or so of London.”

London buyers seeking new locations

Partnering with The London Office has allowed Henry Adams access to buyers who may not otherwise have considered moving to this region. Set up in 1992 to act as a link to the London market for agents operating outside the capital, The London Office now works with more than 225 estate agency offices, from Scotland to Cornwall.

Bob Bickersteth, director of The London Office, said, “For nearly 30 years we have promoted Henry Adams’s clients’ properties to both London and international markets from our centrally based office in the heart of London on St James’s Place. With the proximity to London and major airports, West Sussex and Hampshire are counties which are high up on our enquirers’ lists for both primary residences as well as weekend boltholes.

“Many of our applicants are not geographically specific but driven by property type or price. They can discuss their requirements at our London offices with our professional, qualified staff, who can answer questions about prices, market conditions and schools. We can then search the database for them and suggest suitable properties being marketed by the local offices. The attraction of the South Downs and the Coast, combined with quick access to London, has made this area a much sought-after part of the country.”

Marketing to appeal to London-based buyers

Gareth Overton added, “The additional marketing of The London Office adds an extra dimension to the promotion of our clients’ properties in the capital. We take full advantage of their main publication, Aquire magazine. There’s also the London & Country Property Show in Chelsea which attracts people looking to move to a less urban environment.

“A selection of our properties is on display at the HQ of The London Office in St James’s Place, SW1. We’re also able to tap into the network of top regional agents across the country, whose clients may be relocating to different areas of the UK. The southern counties are a popular location for many, and the links we’ve forged with a national network of top agents have proved as rewarding as those we have with The London Office itself.”
