Storrington Estate Agents & Letting Agents

Our Storrington team is based in the delightful Mulberry House, a Grade II* listed building on the north side of The Square in Storrington. There is a diverse range of properties in the area, including bungalows, family homes and the famous ‘Wells cottages’ which were individually designed by the sculptor, potter and architect Reginald Fairfax Wells in the 1920s to look and feel like 17th century buildings, with thatched roofs, small windows and whitewashed exteriors.  Many of the homes in this area offer wonderful views across rolling countryside and the village has a conservation area just off its bustling high street to ensure Storrington stays as beautiful as it is today for generations to come. If you are thinking of buying or selling, renting or letting a property in Storrington, call on Henry Adams for the ‘simply different’ service that sets us apart from the rest.

Why live in Storrington?

“Storrington lies at the foot of the South Downs National Park, halfway along the South Downs Way. The village is what you would call ‘picture perfect’, with a relaxed air that calls to mind cream teas and cricket.

There are lots of specialist shops in the town as well as a sizeable Waitrose supermarket, a Post Office and library and other convenient amenities. The village has its own large recreational ground with football and cricket pitches and the Chanctonbury Sport and Leisure Centre in the heart of the village (by the football club and cricket pavilion) with a large sports hall, a multi-sports pitch and a weights room.

The local schools belong to a cluster group called STARS (Storrington Area Rural Schools) and between them offer a choice of paths from Reception through to Year 13. Steyning Grammar School is included in the list of STARS and is a popular choice as it is non-selective (which is unusual for a Grammar) and has its own Sixth Form while being just 7 miles from Storrington itself.

There are many community groups in the village offering classes and opportunities in diverse subjects including art, sewing, photography, quilting, bridge, stamp collecting, ballroom dancing and much more.  So whatever your hobby or interest it is likely that there will be a club, society or class devoted to it here.

If you are looking for cultural activities you could visit the Parham House and Gardens, or the local Storrington and District Museum. For outdoor pursuits, you can’t do better than exploring the natural beauty of the South Downs on foot, bike or horseback, or for a truly spectacular view, take to the air in a glider.

When it comes to getting away, for work or leisure, the nearest train station is in the neighbouring village of Pulborough. The five mile journey only takes 10 minutes by car, or you can take a bus as the bus timetable is synced with the train timetable to make life easier for local commuters.”
