A strong start to 2020 for Henry Adams

Sales agreed at Henry Adams LLP residential offices are up by 60% since the start of the year, compared with the same period in 2019.

Gareth Overton, Head of Residential Sales, also reported that viewings were up by 27% against last year’s figures.

“The year has started with significant activity across the board. We’ve seen an uplift of 21% in valuations being undertaken and our new instruction listings are up by 13%.

“This means we have new properties coming to the market at higher levels than this time last year, which in turn should create more buyer interest and satisfy demand from those keen to get moving this Spring.”

Henry Adams attributes the uplift in business to a combination of a marked improvement in market sentiment and continued quality of service across the network of branches.

“Following December’s election there has been a noticeable shift in attitude from both buyers and sellers who have decided that now’s the right time to act, rather than continue to watch the market from the sidelines.

“Despite all the rain, we’ve been fortunate with a relatively mild winter and we have a broad selection of homes on the market across most price ranges.

“The increased activity in London and Surrey has also rippled out quickly with a number of buyers choosing to move south from the capital who are now able to put their plans into action. As a result, our local property market is already buzzing and we’re looking forward to an encouraging Spring market.”
