Henry Adams Lettings is delighted to offer a charming grade II listed cottage nestled in the heart of the vibrant sailing village of Bosham. Available to let unfurnished, this unique character cottage is discreetly tucked away just off the village high street and benefits from its own private garden. Upon entering the property you are greeted by a cosy entrance hallway with stairs leading to the first floor. The open plan lounge is a particularly welcoming space with its abundance of character features including exposed beams, decorative brick fireplace and bay window, plus a useful storage cupboard located underneath the stairs (currently houses a washing machine). A subtle divide created by ancient timbers separates the lounge from the kitchen/dining area. The kitchen is fitted with shaker-style base and wall mounted units and includes an electric oven and gas hob, plus a Belfast sink. The dining area features a useful storage cupboard plus a stable door which opens to a shared footpath (access for neighbouring properties only) directly behind the cottage. Also outside, to the rear of the cottage is a small store with power and lighting. The first floor provide a spacious double bedroom with built in cupboard, directly overlooking the garden, A small guest bedroom (alternatively would make a great study) with built in wardrobes is located at the rear together with a bathroom suite.

Outside, the cottage is approached via a paved and brick pathway through the garden. The cottage also has another access point to the rear via a shared pathway (a right of access exists with the neighbouring properties). The garden features planted beds to the two fenced boundaries with floral shrubs and plants creating an attractive display.

Although the cottage has no designated parking, residents can apply for an annual permit to the village car park located just a short stroll away.

Why live in Chichester

We consider ourselves very lucky to be working in a city that blends so many different architectural styles, from elegant Georgian buildings to contemporary new apartments and waterside properties that overlook the harbour.

In 2013, The Sunday Times listed Chichester as one of the top places to live in the UK with ‘something for everyone’ – and they weren’t wrong. Chichester is a cathedral city, a county town and home to some of the oldest churches and buildings in the country. There are many well-regarded public and state schools in the local area with further and higher education options available from Chichester College, West Dean College and the University of Chichester. Our great schools have always made Chichester very appealing for those looking for the perfect place to raise a family.

Our city centre is a shopper’s paradise and there are great places to eat and drink, from elegant restaurants to cosy cafés and pubs, all set along the city’s four main streets. Chichester Cathedral on West Street dominates the skyline and, on summer afternoons, its grounds are filled with local people enjoying picnics. In the evenings, the Cathedral plays a central part in the city’s nightlife by hosting classical music events.

Chichester has a number of public parks, the Chichester Tennis and Racquets Fitness Club and Westgate Leisure Centre, where you’ll find a large swimming pool and skate park and, if sailing is your thing, Chichester Harbour is a haven for you. There really is so much to do here you’ll be spoilt for choice; spend the day on one of the many local beaches, stretch your legs on the stunning South Downs or catch a show at the Festival Theatre before it moves to a permanent home in London’s West End.
