Full description

This immaculately presented four bedroom detached house was built to a very high standard by the current owners 10 years ago with a lot of thought going into the design and finish. The ground floor provides fantastic living accommodation with a large open plan kitchen/family/dining room which leads out onto the rear garden and veranda. The kitchen is fitted with plenty of wall and base units and also provides a breakfast bar. The whole house is fitted with underfloor heating and the living room has a feature gas fire place. To the front of the property there is another reception room which is currently been used as a study, this would also make a great playroom or additional bedroom. There is also a cloakroom, large storage cupboard in the study and useful under stairs cupboard on this floor.

The first floor compromises of four double bedrooms with two en-suites and a family bathroom. The main bedroom is fitted with an air conditioning unit and built in wardrobes and a large en-suite fitted with a shower, w/c and vanity unit with plenty of storage.

Outside, from the kitchen door there is a covered area which leads to a storage/shed room and separate utility room fitted with washing machine, tumble dryer and sink.

The garden is mainly laid to law with some shrubs and boarders and a small stream running along the side to the bottom of the garden. At the rear of the house there is a fantastic veranda with electric blinds. This truly is a stunning home, one which we would highly recommend viewing to appreciate what is on offer here.

The property enjoys a highly convenient location within a short walk of Tesco Express and the mainline station which provides a train service into London (Victoria approximately 65 minutes). The Weald Community School, Junior School, Infant School and leisure centre with gym and swimming pool are all nearby. The village centre, with its good range of shopping facilities, restaurants, pubs, library, post office, doctors' surgery, churches and bus services, is also within walking distance. Billingshurst is a large village situated in the heart of the Sussex Weald and surrounded by some fine countryside. The village has a good range of social and sporting facilities, the latter including tennis and bowls clubs. The village provides good links with both the M23 and M25. Horsham and Gatwick International Airport are about seven and 21½ miles respectively.

Why live in Billingshurst?

Billingshurst is a thriving village with a welcoming community, a pretty high street and a wealth of shops and leisure facilities. It has a quaint mixture of old and new properties, including farmhouses, timber-framed buildings, thatched cottages and modern developments. The heart of the village is in a Conservation Area, which protects and preserves the character of The Green and the local buildings, such as the row of medieval terraced houses that are set back from the main road.

Many later additions were designed to include features to reflect the medieval, Edwardian and Victorian homes in the area, such as the red brickwork and projected front gables, which add to the very distinctive style of this beautiful West Sussex village.

There are two local schools – Billingshurst Primary School and The Weald School & Sixth Form, which shares a site with the Billingshurst Leisure Centre. Other local facilities include the football and cricket pitches at Jubilee Fields, a skate park, fishing lake and lawn bowling club. The village is also home to a large library and the Billingshurst Community and Conference Centre that hosts a range of sports clubs and regular activities such as the monthly film night.

Plenty of leisure time can be enjoyed on the Wey and Arun Canal – just hop on one of the three tourist boats that run from Loxwood. There’s also an abundance of independent stores and many traditional pubs in the village, including The King’s Arms and the King’s Head and a selection of restaurants and cafés that cater for all tastes.
