Henry Adams started in 1990 with just one office in Chichester, dealing only in agriculture and property management. Now with a network of offices across Sussex and into Hampshire and Surrey, we have grown into one of the leading multi discipline firms of estate agents and chartered surveyors in the region.

Cliff joined Henry Adams in 2000 when Baffins Hall was again opened as an auction Gallery. Previously Cliff was with Philips the London based Auctioneers, serving the south coast as a senior valuer responsible for all types of valuations, running the saleroom and taking sales of fine art and antiques. Being a member of SOFAA, The Society of Fine Art Auctioneers and ASFAV an Associate of the Society of Fine Art Valuers, as well as appearing on Dickinsons Real Deal and Flog It, with over forty three years of auction room and valuation experience he is well qualified to help you and is always available and happy to do valuations for Sale, Insurance or Inheritance Tax (Probate).
David Adams is the managing Partner of Henry Adams LLP and the Partner responsible for our Development Land Department which deals with development consultancy work over a wide area of South East England. He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1995 and became a Partner in 1996. He specialises in all aspects of residential development land including sales, valuations, site appraisals, options/consultancy agreements and planning advice.

Kenton Budd has worked as an estate agent in Chichester for over 18 years and is a member of the National Association of Estate Agents. Kenton was previously the manager of the Neal Smith partnership's Chichester office prior to it's merger with Henry Adams.
Martin has ten years' experience in the residential development and new homes sectors. Prior to joining Henry Adams, he was an Associate Director with Pearsons' land and new homes and has been Land Manager with both Antler Homes and Southcott Homes.

Richard qualified as a Chartered Surveyor at the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester over forty years ago. He has vast and varied experience of the property business, particularly dealing with country house sales and development work. He now oversees the business, having been primarily responsible for guiding the firm’s expansion from a single office in Chichester to the leading and much respected multi discipline Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire firm that Henry Adams is today.
Roger Russ is a very experienced Chartered Surveyor as well as being a member of the UK Register of Expert Witnesses. He has worked in the property industry for over 35 years and has advised a wide range of clients including major financial institutions; national charities; housing associations; Local Authorities; local and international law firms, as well as private individuals on both commercial and residential matters. He is also a regular contributor to the property Press. As well as undertaking RICS Homebuyer Service Reports and Building Surveys; probate, taxation and matrimonial valuations, he has extensive experience of litigation matters and has giving evidence to County Courts, The High Court and the Court of Appeal.
Simon is the Agricultural Partner being involved with numerous owner/occupiers, tenants and landlords in East Hampshire, West Sussex and East Sussex and is based at Rowan House, Chichester. He has worked in Chichester since 1986 and with Henry Adams, started the business in 1990. He is a qualified Chartered Surveyor and a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.
Simon has worked with the firm since 2002. Born in Chichester, Simon has spent the vast majority of his life in Sussex. Estate agency is in his blood with his father being one of the founder partners of Neal Smith, who later merged with Henry Adams. He has worked in a number of different offices throughout the company giving him an excellent knowledge of the local market.
Susan joined the New Homes Department of Henry Adams in 2002 after having gained a wealth of experience working for a number of Major Uk House Builders where she was involved in all aspects of sales and marketing of new development throughout the South East. Susan is currently the Partner in charge of New Homes dealing with a broad range of projects from niche small house builders to major developers throughout Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire.
Richard has worked in estate agency since 1979, during which time his experience has grown! Based in Billingshurst from 1986, Richard has sold virtually every variation of property from one bedroom flats to country houses. He has been a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents since 1990.
Alan Frost is a Partner of the firm and has overall responsibility for the Residential Sales operation. He joined Henry Adams as a Partner from NealSmith Partnership when the two businesses merged in 2002. Immediately following the merger Alan headed up the New Home Division which expanded over a number of years before returning to Residential Sales. Alan has been in the estate agency industry for over 30 years, so brings a great deal of knowledge and experience to his current role. Alan also oversees all IT issues for the firm, a side of the business which has grown increasingly more important in recent years.
John has over 25 years local experience marketing property in Chichester, a city he moved to and has enjoyed living in with his family since the early 1980's. He joined Henry Adams in 1996 and managed the successful and busy head office with a team of very experienced staff, covering all types of property including, town, country and waterside property in an area renowned for its outstanding natural beauty, downland and coastal areas. John is now overseeing retirement property and the coastal departments.
Ben has previously managed a highly successful branch for a rival corporate estate agent for several years before moving to Henry Adams in early 2008. After initially joining to operate across the Bognor Regis area an opportunity arose to transfer to the East Wittering office. Ben brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge and together with his ‘can do’ attitude he is determined to maintain Henry Adams position as the leading estate agent in the area.
Matthew lives locally to the Emsworth office and recently joined Henry Adams. With several years experience, Matthew is enjoying working with his experienced and local team with a focus on offering quality service in this picturesque seaside town.
Vicki has worked in estate agency with Henry Adams since 2001. Starting as ‘an extra pair of hands’ in the thriving and very busy Chichester office, she then worked as Branch Manager in Emsworth, working alongside an enthusiastic and experienced team. Currently,she is working in the Pallant Holiday Lets department, based in Emsworth.
Having qualified as a Chartered Surveyor with the Valuation Office over 17 years ago Eddie has now been working in Horsham for over 12 years. Originally this was with the well established firm of Henry Smith until the merger with Henry Adams in 2007. Eddie believes the wealth of experience covering the full range of property matters allows Henry Adams to offer an unparalleled service throughout Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire.
Howard started his career in Estate Agency in 1986, initially in London, where he gained a wealth of experience in urban agency. He moved to West Sussex and joined Henry Smith as a partner specialising in the sale and letting of town and country property before the merge with Henry Adams. Having worked in Horsham since 2001, Howard fully understands the local market place within both the sales and lettings arena. He is a member of The National Association of Property Professionals (formerly ARLA) and appreciates and endorses the need for professionalism within the industry.
Robert qualified as a Land Agent and Chartered Surveyor in 1991 having read agriculture at Edinburgh University. He was based in Horsham originally with the well established firm of Henry Smith which merged with Henry Adams in 2007. He deals with a diverse range of farmers and rural based clients, including a large national landowner. Through experience in all aspects of rural property and the breadth of services at Henry Adams, he is able to work with rural clients to develop their businesses and grasp opportunities for the future.
Richard started his career with Henry Adams in 2001 as a junior sales negotiator in the busy Bognor Regis town centre office. He has been fortunate to have worked in other Henry Adams’ offices in recent years and has gained invaluable experience of dealing with a diverse range of people and property. Now a Partner of Henry Adams, Richard is based in the Middleton on Sea office.
Mark Pelley, Petersfield Office partner, is the town’s longest serving estate agent, having begun his career in 1983 working in the Portsmouth area before coming to Petersfield in 1991. He has been married to Veronica for 24 years and they have three sons. Mark enjoys running at least three times a week and competes for Denmead Striders in many cross country and road running events including The London Marathon on five occasions!
Steve Tickner’s estate agency career began in 1982 and he successfully completed the Certificate of Residential Agency examinations in 1985. Steve joined the Partnership in 1997 and moved to the Bognor area to Manager the Middleton on Sea Brach in 2000. He subsequently transferred to Bognor Regis town centre in 2004 to take up an Area Manager position and became a Partner in 2006. Steve is now based in Rose Green office, continuing his role as a local Partner of the firm.
With 11 years experience in Estate Agency Kevin joined Henry Adams, taking the helm of the Selsey office in 2005 and since joining the company the Selsey office has grown year on year to what is now a thriving and successful office within the Henry Adams frame work. Nothing is ever too much trouble and Kevin has even been known to get his hands dirty and actually help you move on the day!
Bill came to work in Storrington in 1982 and has an intimate knowledge of the area. He is a well respected estate agent and has sold just about every type of property from small flats to large family homes. Bill can provide you with up to date marketing advice and an assessment of the value of your home.
Ian has worked in residential lettings in West Sussex since 2000 and is well versed on all aspects of the industry. Ian is a Fellow of ARLA (Association of Residential Letting Agents) and a Fellow of the NAEA (National Association of Estate Agents). Ian also holds a Diploma in Residential Lettings and Property Management. Ian oversees all aspects of the lettings operation at Henry Adams Lettings Limited.
Philip started his estate agency career in the late 70’s. With experience gained from working in many locations throughout the county, he has a thorough knowledge of all types of residential property, particularly Country Houses and Period Cottages. He is an accomplished valuer and can provide advice on all aspects of residential property marketing, auctions and property development matters.
